What can you record?

Solo Piano

Record the Piano Room Yamaha upright with its natural acoustic character or a softer, more intimate felt piano sound.

Vocals

Record vocals on their own, with your own instrumental or backing track, or together with the Piano Room Yamaha. Piano and voice can be recorded together or separately, depending on the performance and the sound you want to capture.

Acoustic Instruments

Record acoustic guitar, violin, cello and other acoustic instruments, with the recording setup adapted to the instrument and the character of the music.

Piano sound

Find your piano sound

The Yamaha upright is at the centre of Piano Room and can take on different characters depending on the music.

Felt

Soft, intimate and textured — a characteristic Piano Room sound for neoclassical, contemporary and atmospheric recordings.

Natural

The natural acoustic character of the Yamaha upright, with the sound of the instrument and the room left more open.

These are starting points rather than presets. Microphone placement and the balance between instrument and room can be adjusted to suit the music and the sound you are looking for.

Your session

Every project begins with a short conversation about the music and what you want to do with the finished recording.

Pre-session conversation → Setup & soundcheck → Recording → Listen & adjust → Final takes

The recording setup is prepared around your project, so you don’t need to arrive knowing which microphones or recording technique you need.

Finished recordings are normally prepared within 5 working days, with the expected delivery time agreed for each project.

Your recording

A finished recording, not just a collection of takes.

Selected takes are prepared and delivered as finished WAV files, with MP3 or other formats available if needed. Essential editing, balancing and audio processing are included where appropriate.

If your recording is going on to further production, mixing or mastering elsewhere, it can instead be prepared for the next stage, with selected raw takes available if needed.

Revisions & deliverables

Minor adjustments after delivery are included. More extensive editing or post-production can be arranged separately.

The expected final deliverables are agreed before the session.

Pricing

Recording sessions

1 hour — €80

Suitable for a focused recording or shorter session.

2 hours — €150

The price includes a pre-session consultation, studio time, recording setup, soundcheck, recording and preparation of the agreed finished recordings.

Longer sessions and larger projects

Planned and quoted individually according to the project.

Additional editing and post-production

Available by arrangement when a project requires additional work beyond the agreed recording.

The studio

Equipment & Technology

The Piano Room setup brings together carefully selected recording equipment, acoustic treatment and professional audio tools, chosen for how they work with the instrument and the room.

Yamaha · sE Electronics · Antelope Audio · GIK Acoustics · Logic Pro · iZotope · Universal Audio

Piano care & tuning

The Piano Room Yamaha is regularly maintained and prepared for recording.

Fresh tuning before a session can be arranged on request.

Piano, Vocal & Acoustic Recording

Record piano, vocals and acoustic instruments in an intimate, characterful studio in the heart of Vilnius.

Piano Room is built around a Yamaha upright piano and a space where the instrument, the room and the recording process become part of the sound.

Every session is shaped around the music and the sound you want to create.
